Actor, director!
Born on February 21, 1962. Graduated from the Academy of Arts in Tirana in 1987. His career began in 1983 at a young age with the beloved and well-known character, Besimi in “Warm Hand”. Precisely during his time as a student, was given the main role in the film, without being an actor. With the role of Besim in “Warm Hand” he was awarded the Medallion of the 6th Albanian Film Festival.
A. Gorishti is a student of the famous actress Drita Pelinku, from her school. In 1981 he played in the film “The Threat” and in 1984 in “Pupils of my class”, to continue in the same year with the role of Mark in “The Militant”.
Other films in the following years are: “The stones of my house” (1985), “Three men with Coats” (1985), the film TV “Chronicle of those years” (1986) and many other films until the others “Gjoleka son of Abazi” (2006) and then “World / Bota”.
In 1986, Gorishti was appointed to Kinostudio, working there as an assistant director in several Albanian films such as “The Small Encirclement” (1986); “Butterfly in my cabin” (1988), “Pirates’ cave” (1990), “Years of waiting” (1990), “Tirana in year zero” (2001).
After the movie “Slogans” (2001) he became one of the most famous actors of the generation after the 90s. With the film “Slogans / Parrullat” , Gorishti was awarded two international awards at the Film Festivals in Cannes and Tokyo.
He is well integrated abroad as an actor. Plays in the TV series XIII-The Conspiracy, and in 2013 in an American Show “Blue Mountain State”.
Gorishti is also a painter and has a special passion for photography. Several times he has had exhibitions for his paintings in Greece, and in 1997 he received the “Marubi” award for his exhibition photographs.
