Enver Dauti
(April 17, 1927 – February 16, 2012)
Actor, one of the founders of Tirana’s Estrada and the National Theater, holds the title “Merited Artist”
Born on April 17, 1927, in Tirana. From the beginning, he was active as an amateur with the amateur theater groups of Tirana, since the first years of his career. Seeing his skills and talent as a comic, he was drawn to the State Theater Troupe in 1957, the year in which his professional career on stage officially began.
Worked with this Estrade from 1957 to 1983, the year Dauti retired, performing many roles from different social strata and historical periods. Dauti has been an actor with a diverse profile, from where he tried in different genres such as skits, dialogues, parodies, pantomimes, couplets, etc.
Enver Dauti had a spontaneous, effortless humor, frequently using expressive gestures, emphasizing the word or sentence from which his humor came. Variety and dozens of roles in cinematography.
During his artistic career Enver made a contribution to the Estrada stage as an actor and presenter, he also performed in several films, mainly remembered for roles such as “Cirku ne Fshat” – Kopi; “Poppies on the walls” – cook; “Red Covenant” – Potter worker, etc.
He has been acting in films since 1964 in “Our Land” in the role of Bardhok. Although Dauti has generally performed secondary roles, where has stood out for his character and spirit as an artist and a man.
He passed away on February 16, 2012, at the age of 85.
