Film content
A senior party official and a doctor working in a remote mountain village receive news of the death of their childhood friend. Both set off separately for the funeral.
The difficulties encountered along the way, the memories of each and the meeting between them reveal the characters and the transformations that have occurred due to their psychology, respectively that of a careerist and that of a man trying to be more humane.
