(1941 – 2003) Composer, conductor, "Honored Artist" He was born in Peqin on February 5, 1941. In 1959, after graduating from the Artistic High School in Tirana, he was appointed a music teacher in Gjirokaster, the city where he stayed for no longer than a year. It is sent for conducting to the National Conservatory of Prague in Czechoslovakia. Even here, after one year, he was forced to interrupt his studies and continue them in the music department at the High Institute of Arts 1962 – 1965. Then he started working as a conductor in the RTSH Symphony Orchestra. Since 1964, he has performed over 300 concerts at home and abroad, such as in Italy, Turkey, Greece. Ferdinand Deda also distinguished himself as a composer by composing 3 symphonic dances "meditation 1-2-3", as well as four sketches for piano, trio for violin, cello and piano, sung prelude, impromptu for piano and string orchestra, fantasy for xylophone and orchestra, concertino for horn and orchestra, concerto for clarinet and orchestra, rhapsody on chicken themes for orchestra, concertino for bassoon, clarinet and flute and also film music. For 1 year from 1991 to 1992 he specialized in Italy. Ferdinand Deda has conducted in various orchestras and not only in Albanian stages, but also in foreign ones. He has participated with his creations in all Song Festivals on Radio and Television, in the Spring Concerts as well as in the artistic activities developed by this institution. He, with a long and successful career in the field of music, has directed the recording of music for a large number of Albanian feature films, while he has been the music composer of a number of feature films and cartoons. As a conductor, he directed the recording of music in about 95 Albanian feature films and composed the music for films such as "Circus in the village" (1983), "Zambakë i Bardhë" (1983), as well as the cartoons "Pika e water" (1976), "Mi-re-la" (1978). It is also notable in the genre of light songs for children. Ferdinand Deda is the founder of the Spring Concert at RTSH. In 1997, he was announced as the winner of the "Golden Disc" and was honored with the title of "Deserved Artist" and "Great Master".
