Nasi Shamia Engineer, Albanian film chemist at the Kinostudio "Alhqiperia e Re". He is the first cadre who did the processing of color films in Albania. He was born on March 22, 1931 in Voskopoje, Korce, where he completed high school. In 1954, he went to Prague in Czechoslovakia, where he studied at the Faculty of Engineering, specializing in chemistry. After graduation, he started working as a color technology engineer on February 20, 1959, near the Kinostudio "Shqiperia e Re". He did his diploma work for laboratory analysis and film processing. He became the first cadre with higher education in this sector of Albanian film. He is totally devoted to this profession and, with the close contacts he established with cameramen and directors, he mastered it very quickly, in particular he became a master in providing light and a consultant of creative frames in balancing them in the process of shooting films. He worked gradually to establish a more advanced and contemporary technological process in the processing of films, always being in the conditions of a country with limited financial resources. The first to process color films in Albania. The first documentary film that was processed in the Kinostudio laboratory was "Decorative Stones" (1964) directed by Dh. Anagnostic; His name in this role can also be found in the feature films "Concert in 1936", "Silent Duel", "Face to Face", "Our Land", and others! He persevered in equipping the laboratory with contemporary and modern equipment as well as in the preparation of the program, the technological project and the establishment of the new film processing laboratory in Kinostudio. It should also be mentioned that Nasi Shamia trained a considerable number of cadres in his sector. One of his hobbies was the guitar and he was also distinguished by his sense of humor.
