The first film shot on the basis of real events that happened during the First World War. An Austro-Hungarian expedition obtains information and sets up an archaeological site in the old city of Apollonia. The experts of this expedition like the archaeologist Shniker want to rob ancient monuments but the villagers of the area led by the teacher fight to protect them. The Austro-Hungarians execute the teacher.
