Lumturi Dashi (1940 – 2008) Actress of the variety theater of Durres! She was born in Durres in 1940. Along with her permanent smile and unchanged over the years, the actress is remembered as a performer of many roles on the stage of the "Aleksander Moisiu" Theater in Durres, which would become her second home. . At the age of 14, he would climb the stage of this theater, formerly the "14 November" cinema, with the amateur troupe. The first role will be in 1957 in the comedy "Room 13", included in this project "at the last minute" because a young actress was missing and by chance Lumja, as she was called by her colleagues, would gain the director's trust Gjergj Vlashi "People's Artist" for this role that would change her whole life. She performed beautifully in this comedy as well as in several other first amateur variety shows. 
Later, when the theater and later professional variety shows were created, Lumturi Dashi would join those troupes and work there until he retired. In fact, she started working with the professional theater troupe 4 years after the opening of this troupe and her arrival was welcomed as an amateur performer for the roles of young girls. Lumturi Dashi joined famous actresses from Durrës, such as Meropi Xhoja, Vera Urumi, Marta Burda, Rexhina Kolo, Filika Ujkaj, etc. The interpretation of the roles she embodied in the theater is a long and impressive list, almost unbelievable if you add to this list the endless number of roles she has played with the variety troupe, where she was active very often. There are over 40 roles on stage. It should be mentioned that she was one of the few actresses who worked with both theater troupes, both dramatic and variety. First, she played heroines in the theater, then she also participated in the first premieres of the professional variety troupe, which was founded on May 5, 1960. She skillfully performed in various theater genres, in dramas and comedies, in skits and in parody, leaving in our memory numerous portraits of roles realized at a high level. 
Some of the comedy shows that we can mention are: "Birth of a man", "Player no. 10", "Mireserdhe Elona", "Yellow card" etc. and in the dramas "Braid of Wars", "Deep Roots", "Short Winter" etc. 
He was a person with will and perseverance and worked with fellow partners, helping them or benefiting from his experience theirs, since simplicity was one of the characteristics of this woman. She never raised her voice to appear above the others. She always remained wise, gentle and dedicated to the mastery of the beautiful, but not easy, game of the actor. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 68 after a serious illness. With all her contribution and active career, she was never appreciated for her merits as an artist. However, in honor of her, one of the streets of Durres is named Lumturi Dashi.
