Director and actor Mehmet Xhelili!

Mehmet Xhelili Actor and director Born in Fier on March 26, 1962. Graduated as a director from the Academy of Arts in 1987, he started his career as an assistant director at the Kinostudio "Alhqiperia e Re" where he worked until 1990, and later as a teacher of directing at the Faculty of Performing Arts, at the Academy of Arts where he continued to work for a long time performing the duties of the Head of the Department of Directing since 2007. Conducted a several-month course in Prague, Czech Republic for modern theater. He has a rich activity with over 20 performances in theater institutions throughout the country. His directing company holds such shows starting with the first project in collaboration with Agim Qirjaq in Ionesco's comedy "The Bald Singer" (1994). Then, "Karriket" (2000), "Leksioni" (2003), "Jenesko, caprice skeniki", "Kupucet", "The Second Chapter", "Art", "Vlazeri e interesa", "Maggia e Vere se Quqe" "Crazy youth", "Dear old lady", "Cry of a crazy mother", "Prisoner of the fifteenth floor", "Tears of the seasons", etc. 2 years later, he staged the drama "Kneb" (1996) by Horge Goldenberg at the Academy of Arts. With his students, he realized several directorial projects with the works of Ionesco, Ibsen and Strinberg. In the comedy "Chapter two" by Neil Simon, he appeared on the stage of the National Theater in 2003, spread its lyrical-poetic sides, giving them through the assessment of the spiritual swings of the protagonists Ndricim Xhepa and Luiza Xhuvani. In 2004, at the "Bylis" theater in Fier, he staged three one-act comedies by Kristo Floqi under the title Vllazeri and interest. While in v. 2007 staged the Russian drama "Dear Miss" written in 1985. As an actor, he has performed in some of his projects, the roles of protagonists such as the old man in "Lecture" and the professor in "Carriage", as well as the role of a captain in "Accidental death of an anarchist" by Dario Fo. In v. 2008 plays in "The Dumb Waiter" by Harold Pinter. There is a wide participation in national and international meetings. Holds the title of Associate Professor.
