Economist and producer of the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”!

Born on March 18, 1957, in the city of Berat. Finished the eight-year school in the city of Fier. After completed high school at the “Qemal Stafa” gymnasium in Tirana in 1976. After finishing high school, he also completed a year of internship at the “Fierze Hydropower Plant”.

In 1981, graduated as an economist for industry at the high school of the Faculty of Economics in Tirana. Soon after, he was appointed to the cinema studio “Shqiperia e Re” as a director .

In 1984 thanks to his commitment and work in this high art institution, Beci will be appointed the Head of the production department at Kinostudio for all three genres of feature film, documentary and cartoon. Four years later, in 1988, he was appointed deputy general director of Kinostudio for production and economy, a position he held until 1992.

In 1992, he was appointed general director of Kinostudio with the new title “Albafilm – studio”.

After two years in this position, in 1994 he resigned, working as the head of the Film Archive. In 1995, worked as director of the film department and deputy director of Albanian television.

1998 appointed Chairman of the National Center of Cinematography. His activity covering high positions in other institutions continues over the years.

2000, this same year he is the director of production at “Klan” television. 2001 General director of “Top Channel” television and Radio “Top Albania”. 2002 deputy general director of “Klan” television.

2006 General Director of Albanian Public Television.
In 2013, he resigned from office.

2015 Beci is the executive director of “ABC news” television!
From 2020 onwards, he is the executive director of “Fax news” television.

Mr. P Beci has completed several qualifications and trainings in many European countries and the world, both for cinematography and television in the period 1991 – 2013, as well as for management in art, culture and cinematography, organization and management of electronic media, marketing, production and co-production.

He is a participant and leader in many national and international film festivals, seminars and bilateral contacts with the most prestigious festivals and organizations in Europe for cinematography, as well as in many conferences, seminars, and meetings with a large number of leaders of the largest media in Europe and the world and many international mechanisms operating in this sector.

During the time period 1987-1991, Beci successfully covers the high position of the lecturer of the subject of film production in the post-universal high school of film for directors, screenwriters, operators in Kinostudio. 2006-2019 holds the position of lecturer in the subjects of film and television production and art-culture management at the Tirana University of Arts.

From 1991 onwards, he is a member of the Albanian Cinematographers Association. Vice President of the Public Media Association of Southern Europe in the region with 17 members for the period 2009-2013.

We also find the name of Mr. Petrit Beci as the drafter of the Law on Cinematography approved in 1996. Drafter of many legal and by-law acts in the field of cinematography and television. Author of many articles in the written media, televised debates, discussions or interviews about the problems of cinematography and audio-visual media.

He is the producer of many feature films and documentaries, song festivals on radio and television, participation in Euro song, magic songs, spectacles and television shows, the biggest events produced in the Albanian media, big sports events, big music concerts and recitals of different singers and major political events from 2000 onwards. Chairman and member of the Project Approval Council at the National Center of Cinematography in the periods 2005-2007 and 2017-2021.
