(2007) Tinka Kurti: She broke all superstitions for the first kiss in the Albanian film In her mind appeared the house where she was born, her passion for acting, her first steps on stage and even special memories, such as the kiss in the film with the actor Naim Frashëri. She is remembered as the actress who made the first kiss for the Albanian film, it remains a hostage that is not broadcast even today. In this nostalgic and emotional journey, we share some of her memories with the actress . What does a tear mean for Tinka Kurti? It's a nice surprise and a rare event to experience an anniversary on a plane, even traveling to Istanbul, especially since I was born in a small "Turkey" called Sarajevo. Do you remember your childhood in these moments? What do you remember most? It is an endless sea of memories. I remember the park, the cobbled alley, and I feel every moment the squeeze of my dear mother's hand. That tear that came out suddenly reminds me of the painful moments, the gate of the house, from which I left when I was only 5 years old and returned when I turned 65 years old. I went to the room that my mother, the Hungarian Elisabeta, had told me about, who after birth had noticed a letter T among the stars, and for this reason decided to call the girl Tinka. 
Maybe he foresaw that you would be one of the stars of Albanian art? Again a coincidence. I feel good that my difficult and beautiful life was put into a documentary film by director Esat Teliti, exactly on the occasion of my birthday, exactly 4 years ago (2003). He gave it to me on the occasion of my 71st birthday. It was very touching, beautiful and unforgettable, when it was shown in the "Millennium" cinema. For 90 minutes, I felt my difficult life pass through my being, the kindness and gratitude of the friends who had filled the hall. How did you get the desire to become an actress? Actually, I started my studies at the Polytechnic of Tirana and by chance I ended up in the Drama department, at the Lyceum. But this beautiful dream would be interrupted in the middle. After only three months of school I would be expelled for the manifestation of liberal plays and I never received the diploma of acting. But in my case, talent sealed the actor's degree. The most beautiful part for me is Shkodra. There I have my love and pain, longing and hostages, where my career as an artist took its first steps. This long journey, as beautiful as it is difficult, started with the "Shkodra Wedding", when I was only 16 years old. For the first time I would go up on a theater stage. I was actually taken there to sing in the choir, but the director soon realized that he was dealing with an actress. And you weren't wrong. The first step would be taken with the film "Tana" and then my life would be devoted to stage and film. 
Have you ever counted the roles you've played over the years? I have my own archive, and listing my performances, the number reaches 320 roles. Most of them are in drama, but not leaving behind the movie. It is half a century of life that I have dedicated to the stage. I remember the roles in the drama "Chekhov's Engagement", followed by the role of Fila in "The Bullet", then Loke in "Our Land". Passion and love for the stage forced me to perform 4 roles within a year. Moving from Shkodra to Vig, where "5 Heroes" was filmed, from the scene to the filming. I was exhausted, but I also felt happy. Do you have roles that you would consider the most heartfelt for you? Many of the other artists state that they cannot share the roles. For me it is not like that. In such a long life there are big and small, main and episodic roles. I have been lucky enough to have primary roles on stage and in films all the time, but I single out the role of Loke in "Our Land", mother Pashakoja in "Long Night Stars", the role of mother in "Gjaku i Arbri" and so I will I mentioned a string of roles up to the last one, in "Streha e t'Harruarve" written by Rruzhdi Pulaha, which was also filmed a few months ago. 
You are the first artist to perform the kiss on film. How did you experience it? It's true and it makes me proud. I had no hesitation when I kissed my partner, the great actor Naim Frashëri, under a tree in the movie "Tana". It is the first kiss in the history of the Albanian film and it makes me feel really good. It was such a time, the mentality that prevented you from performing such scenes. However, even though I was very young, the passion makes the actor perform even such scenes that are already common. 
For that time a taboo is broken. Weren't you afraid of that? Of course it was not easy. I can even tell you that to do that kiss, we had to do 29 takes and unfortunately the scene was removed afterwards. I get angry with myself and say: "Well then, the time and regime did not allow it, but today, why is my kiss with Naim Frashër not granted?" For me it is one of the most beautiful moments of my career as an actress, not only that I have a partner with a great actor, but I was a real actress who violated every superstition to realize the role.
