Ариа́дна Все́володовна Шенгела́я is the Soviet actress who performed in the Albanian film "Fortuna" and we think this fact alone deserves to be mentioned, although she does not have the fame of other world stars. Its brilliance was exactly like that of a meteor, only for a few moments and then it disappears in the endless sky. He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on January 13, 1937. He completed his higher studies at the Cinematographic Institute of "VGIK". She was the wife of one of the most famous directors in BS, Eldar Shengellaja, the Georgian who, together with his brothers, also directors, had dominated the cinematography of BS in the 50s and 60s, which had achieved to produce a record number of films, up to 300 per year. The charming actress from Uzbekistan was not coincidentally on the set of the film alongside the Albanian actresses in the film "Fortuna", filming that started in 1958, a film which remained closed for many decades after the breakup of the Albanian government with the Soviet one, more or less like some other Albanian films today and "imprisoned" theaters since the change of systems after the 90s, "for merit ” of the political class that even the western world cannot categorize as democratic and civilized. 
However, returning to the Russian actress who was assigned to play the role of Zane, she made one of the best Albanian-Russian films (directed by Juri Ozerov and K. Dhamo), but she did not have the success of "Skenderbeu". After the movie "Fortuna", Ariadna made other very good movies and managed to become a famous actress in BS. From the time period 1957 – 1997, she appeared as an actress in 33 films, of which we can mention: "Judge Onegin" – 1958 in the role of Tatiana Larines / "Fortuna" -1959 / in the role of Zane / "White Caravan" – 1963 in the role of Marie / "Don't be sad" – 1969 in the role of the countess / "Love dreams" – 1970 as Karolina, etc. The breakdown of relations with BS, the Albanian state also brought the actress into oblivion. However, before it was closed, in Albania she appeared in another Russian film, performing in "Karavana e bardhe" (1963). She holds the title of People's Artist for Russia and Georgia.
