Qerim Mata (1934 – 2019) Director of chronicle and documentary films! He was born in Tirana, on October 20, 1934. After graduating from the High Institute of Arts for an actor, he started working at the "New Albania" movie studio. He worked as an assistant director in the films "Guximtaret" (1971) and "I teti ne bronx" (1979), in this second one he played the role of the spy Lefter Lefteri as an actor. 
As an independent director, he made the musical film "Journey in spring" (1975), thanks to a light subject structure – the journey of a couple of lovers through the industrial, agricultural and environmental landscapes of the country brought some of the most beautiful songs of the time. Other topics have also come to his attention, whether those from history and its heroes, from school and teaching, physical culture and sports, art and its beauty to the country's enticing environments and landscapes.
