For Aurela, school was the place of learning, but she spent most of her time singing. It can be described as rebellious by nature. Her mind was focused only on the song. She was destined to become a singer. Aurela has also possessed acting skills since she was a child and this has given her the opportunity to win 3 special awards based on the interpretations of her songs at festivals as well as a special award from Top Albania Radio. To further promote her albums, she has given two live solo concerts. These concerts were held in the Palace of Congresses in Tirana in 1998 and 2000.
In 2000, Aurela proved that the “Academy of Arts” was the right choice for her and graduated that year in Drama. She released 2 albums in 1998 and 2 more in 2000. Aurela’s style ranges from pop to folk. In February 2002, Aurela decided to challenge herself and moved to America. For her this was a new beginning. She immediately gained popularity in the Albanian community due to her amazing voice and electrifying performances, ranging from clubs, concerts across America to private events.
In 2004, Aurela sang both the national anthems of Albania and America in an event with the participation of President Bill Clinton.
