Vladimir Kasa (1950-2021)
Well know director of documentaries, features movie and tv movies.
Born in Tirana on October 12, 1950. His love was cinema. Kasa had many dreams and came with a time information from his studies in Romania. He felt it at work with his colleagues, with the actors and with the film making team.
V. Kasaj was very demanding at work and required discipline in the first place, because he noticed a kind of indifference to technique. The film is a collective art and if all the links do not work perfectly, it affects its artistic side. 
He spent two years at the High Institute of Arts in Tirana and then continued for three years at the Institute of Cinematography in Bucharest, Romania. Kasa graduated from the High Institute of Arts in Tirana and then began working as an assistant with the well-known director Dhimiter Anagnosti in the film “Poppies on the Wall”. His first film was made together with Spartak Pecani, “New Shelter” – 1976; Vladimir spent his time as a director at RTSH, initially dealing with the screening of dramas and publicist films. 
In 1978, he shot his first film independently, the two-series TV series “The Days That Brought Spring” and “A November Night” – 1979. In addition to dramas and artistic television shows on Television, he also shot 4 more films, among which “Reconstruction” in 1989 is more successful and which was awarded the “Aleksander Moisiu” award for best director.
Among other films, we can remember “Mining engineer” – RTSH, 1981 / “Flame of Mountains” (two series) – 1982, which stands out for its outstanding directorial values, “Black Bag” – 1984 with the script of Koco Devole ; Kino Comedy “Open your black eyes” – RTSH, 1984 / “Lightning from the mountain” (tele comedy) – 1986 with the script by Pellumb Kulla.
Produces dozens of teledramas with the National Theater, the “Migjeni” theater, Shkodër, the “Aleksandër Moisiu” theater in Durrës, the one in Korça or Elbasan and Fier, as well Variety Concerts on the night of New Years Eve in 1980, 1982, 1984, 1987 since the size of the production was most important of the year.
He has also successfully performed hundreds of comedies shows or outdoor concerts, with our best comedians and wonderful singers of the country.
He would say: I had the privilege of working with the cream of Albanian art, for whom I still have the best memories, from Luftar Paja, Tano Banushi, Skënder Sallaku, Aleko Prodani, Ceken, Zef Deda, Gezim Kruja, Fadi Hasa, or the parodists of Fier and Vlora. our wonderful singers, Vaçe Zela, Gaqo Cako, Avni Mula, Zeliha Sina, Ema Qazimi, Luan Zhegu, Parashqevi Simaku, etc.
Passed away on November 7, 2021.
