Albert Vëria (1936-2015) Prominent actor of Albanian Theater and Cinematography. He was undoubtedly one of the giants of our stage and screen. He was born in Fier on September 3, 1936. After graduating from the agricultural high school, he worked as a zootechnician in the years 1956 – 1959. He was a specialist in the artificial crossbreeding of sheep with merino rams that came from Russia. As he himself testifies, he was born in Fieri, but his origin is from Voskopoja. The last child of the five children of the couple Petro and Korrnelias, where apparently Alberti's grandfather may have liked Shakespeare's drama "The Free King", from where the little girl was named Kornele. His sister is called Liri, his older brother is Andrea and the other two brothers are Hani and Ernest. Unfortunately, there is no one left alive in this world, the last one to leave was our actor Alberti. According to his testimony, the Verria tribe and two or three others are the creators of the city of Fier. They took cattle and used the abundant pasture that was in Myzeqe. This tribe is now located in Tirana, while Alberti himself lived in Vlora. He first studied at the agricultural secondary school, the zootechnical branch, finishing it in 1956. Then he was appointed to the city of Kukës, where he stayed for two years. Later he completed a specialization in Tirana for artificial insemination, to start this task in Berat as chief inspector. From here, the future actor has the right to study at the Agricultural University. Meanwhile, in 1959, the announcement appeared in the newspaper that the first acting school was opening near the People's Theater and the competition criteria were given. He goes to Tirana and wins the competition with 17 other competitors out of 76 participants, giving a completely different direction to his career. Among the winners were names that would become big and known to the public, such as: Behxhet Nelku, Serafin Fanko, Edi Luarasi, Mario Ashiku, Aishe Stari, Ferndand Kokalari, Piro Sava, etc. The real path for him would start at the Institute of Arts. Finishes the high school for actors "Aleksandër Moisiu" (1959 -1963). In 1963, he was appointed an actor in the Theater of Vlora. The role of Veip in "The Fisherman's Family" was for Verrine the first role in his career. In Tirana, the Third Festival of Theaters took place and this drama took third place. The director was Nazmi Bonjaku and Albert Verria is honored with an award. In almost all the festivals held in Tirana, his roles will be awarded with prizes. For Albert Verrine with the "Petro Marko" Theater he has performed over 90 roles on stage and 40 in cinematography, but for the great actor there is a concern about this, that have not been recorded and many prominent roles have simply remained in the memory of art lovers. Of course, this concern is for all the artists who performed in that period. The pinnacle of his success will remain uncle Suloja in "Captain", which he skillfully won in the competition with the well-known actresses Pandi Raidhi and Myqerrem Ferran, who claimed the role before the film was made. In 1979, Albert Vërri was awarded the title "People's Artist". He has received awards in all theater festivals, in national competitions. He became "Honored Artist" then "People's Artist", he has the First Prize of the Republic for the role of uncle Sulos, the great award of his career, he is "Honorary Citizen" of Fier District, "Honorary Citizen" of the city of Vlora and many medals and orders, which appreciate his contribution as an actor.
