Jani Nano (1927-1990) Documentary and documentary film operator! He was born in Gjirokaster on July 10, 1927. He was one of the first founding operators of Albanian documentary cinematography. In the time period 1949 – 1954, he did a preparatory course near the Central Studio of Documentary Films in Moscow, former BS. Immediately after his return to Albania, he started shooting documentary and documentary films under the direction of director Endri Keko, who took the same directing course. He had shot several videos since 1948 as a co-author and during his stay in Moscow. In addition to the hundreds of newspaper articles, where initially together with H. Ferhati, A. Fortuzi, S. Mushe and later with Dh. Lalen, held a great weight by shooting more than 100 chronicle and documentary films as a co-author or autonomously. Only genuine documentary films as a cameraman and later also as a director – he shot 45 films. 
Thus, his first documentary film was "Letter from the village" – 1956. It stood out for its dexterity and inflexibility, a special characteristic of it. Among his other films we can mention: "At the Warsaw festival" – 1956; "9th Spring" – 1956; "Light on Albania" – 1958, which was the first Albanian film honored with the Republic Award; "On the mountain paths" -1958; "We sing and dance" – 1959; "With our fishermen" – 1962; "Greetings from the village" – 1967; "Idriz Seferi is fighting" – 1984; "Asim Vokshi" – 1984; "Letter from Komani" – 1984, etc. Since 1968, he has been involved in the shooting of several military films and from 1970 he finally moved to the cinematographic sector of the Ministry of Defense, directing this sector from the artistic side and in all the films he shot there for the army was not only an operator but also directed them. Among these military films we can mention: "Red arrows on a military game" – 1968; "Connections – 1969; "Castle and Waves" – 1970; "We defend ourselves by attacking" – 1971; "For these lands" – 1983, etc. as well as a large number of military chronicles that were used for internal purposes or for the archive; From time to time he was hired as a cameraman by the directors at Kinostudio.
