Kujtim Spahivogli (June 30, 1932 – July 7, 1987) Well-known theater director, actor. He was born on June 30, 1932 in Lushnja. He was one of the best and most unfortunate directors of the Albanian theater. He remembers that he was attracted by the theater when he was little.. In 1947, he started the "Jordan Misja" artistic high school, in the drama department, which he graduated with flying colours. In v. In 1956, he completed his studies in Moscow, where he attended Gitis, the Higher Theater Institute in that city. He was one of the brilliant students who came from the Soviet Union. That same year, in 1956, he was appointed an actor at the National Theatre. Apart from being a director, Spahivogli also excelled as an actor. His first role on the stage of the National Theater was Dzherzhinski in the drama "Cremlin Clocks", and then came a series of roles in the dramas "Majlinda", "On the other side", "Dragoi i Dragobia", "Hamlet", " The man with the rifle". "Quiet Love", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Heaven and Hell", "The Unknown", "Lost Letter", etc. etc. But he worked more and excelled as a director at the People's Theater and as a lecturer at the Higher Institute of Arts. The memory was also later taken with the staging of Shakespeare's works; among others he put on "The Merry Wives of Windsor" a very beautiful show, neatly performed by the outstanding actor Mihal Popi. He also staged "Much Ado About Nothing". Other works of his are "The Stranger" by the Turkish poet Nazim Hiqmet and the drama "Fundosja e skuda" by the Russian Lavranyov. "In the storm", "House on the boulevard", "Light", "Carnivals of Korça", "Red sky", etc. He put all these on the stage of the People's Theatre. When the Theater Department was opened at the Higher Institute of Arts, he was one of the first lecturers. Kujtimi also worked as an actor and among his best roles, Hamlet should be mentioned, perhaps the lead role of the Shakespearean theater and that of Selim in the drama " The fisherman's family" by Sulejman Pitarka. He also played this role in the movie "Oshtime na pstost" whose script was based on the above drama. He was also invited to Macedonia and he worked with the Albanian troupe of the theater of nationalities, with which he staged Spiro Çomorra's well-known comedy "Carnivals of Korça:" The show also went on tour in our country and was a great success. here comes to mind the construction of figures and the masterful use of masks in that show where his great creative imagination stood out. Sumitimi has special merits as a director as he introduced many new elements of contemporary directing to our theater, successfully handled bold experiments that gave him a helping hand sensitive to our theater to consolidate its face. Kujtim Spahivogli is the founder of the Artistic Word, he was also the creator and director of the "Youth Theater" which was created near the High Institute of Arts. Among the few pieces he staged with that troupe was Mayakovsky's well-known comedy "Banja". He also staged parts of the playwright Fadil Paçrami and when he was hit hard by the fourth plenum of the Labor Party (communist), Kujtimi was unjustly condemned along with him. In 1973, they removed him from the theater and deprived him of the right to participate on stage. At first he worked in several villages, then he was taken as a side worker at the reclamation enterprise in Fier. The memory was at the same time a playwright. His drama "A friend of our class" was a great success: He also wrote poems, articles and essays.
