Kristo Cala Scenographer. He was born in Tirana on June 27, 1958. He graduated from the Academy of Arts for scenography in 1986, and that same year he started working at the People's Theater (today TK), until he left office in 2000. Many of the scenography of the Theater's productions Kombetar carries his firm, among which stand out: "Pallati 176; "Me and Mephistopheles"; "Night with the moon"; "The Awakening"; "Great Magic"; Fernando Kraft wrote me a letter"; "Museum"; "Garden with dallandishes"; "Enemy of the people"; "Virgin". In the comedy "Maggia e madhe" by E. De Filipo, he wrapped the whole hall in white cloth to create the feeling of a circus or a spiritist session, where the conventional boundaries between the stage and the hall, the actors and the spectators seem to "melt" , we aim to create the artistic pretext of collective suggestion by the character of the magician-illusionist. The scenographic solution of the drama "Enemy of the People" is completely different. Now there is an interweaving of modernist language and pure symbols, on the one hand, with the realistic architecture of the environments, on the other. The torn flag of the Albanians among the other flags conveyed the idea of political, social and until then remaining Albania and the Albanians after the terrible chaos of v. 1997. Outside the National Theater, his collaborations with the director Kico Londo in the shows: "Caution! It bites….” To Gerni, "The beautiful queen" by Martin McDonagh and "Six years of pregnancy" by B. Cikliropoulos. In the scenographic solutions of Cales, simplicity and prudence stand out. It is strongly inclined to realistic similes and, in cases of imaginary and surrealistic twists. It uses strong "natural" references, whenever the environments and directorial mise-en-scenes require this as a necessary condition. _______________ Albanian cinematography in activity since 2013 Reference: "Encyclopedia, Theater and Albanian Cinematography" – Toena 2009 / J.
