Mihal Stefa (1902 – 1980) Actor of the pioneering generation of Albanian theater with a considerable number of roles, although later most of them were episodic in feature films. He was born in Korça on April 28, 1902. His love for the theater was born at a young age. Unfortunate that at a young age he remains an orphan, facing a difficult life economically. He did several different jobs to make ends meet, such as a tailor, a cigarette factory worker and an apprentice. However, he appeared on stage for the first time in 1922 in the part "Mother's duty" in Fotjon Postoli's play. In 1929 he settled in Tirana and joined Mihal Popi's group in the amateur theater. In 1932, he also conducted a course for actors. He came to the People's Theater in 1945, being one of the founders of this theater in the first spring. I will perform precisely in the parliamentary performance in "Topazi", in the role of Panika. After that, he will continue to perform other roles, so that during his career in the theater, he will number about 45 roles, which speak for an actor with artistic skills, a brilliant in creating characters, as he will be known as late as a great actor of small roles. Always in Teater we can mention some of his accomplished roles: the Commander in "Fundosja e skuda"; Qatipi in "Halili and Hajria" (1950); Lluka Llukic in "Revizori" (1952); Grinjovi in "Moscow character" (1949); Aleko in "I cuditshmi" (1959); Jovan Myzeqari in "The big wedding"; The gravedigger in "Hamlet"; "Othello" (1953); in the comedy "The Merry Wives of Windsor" (1959); in "The Prefect" (1948) by Besim Levonje; "Our Land" (1954). His special features are his completely natural behavior in acting, as well as his expressive gestures and characteristic voice. In the feature film, he masterfully plays the figure of the priest Gjergj Araniti, a historical character, a wise man, in the film "Skenderbeu" (1954); to continue with other films like "Tana"; "Debatik" etc. He changed his life in Tirana on July 16, 1980.
