Anna Oxa Italian singer, TV presenter. When she was born on April 28, 1961 in Bari, Italy, her name was registered as Ilirjana Hoxha, but her path and fate as a great singer made her known as Anna Oxa. Her father is now known to have been the Albanian Qazim Hoxha from the city of Kruje, famous at the time of Mr. Skenderbe, our National Hero. Her father immigrated to Bari after the Second World War. My mother was Italian. She graduated from the Artistic Lyceum "Giuseppe De Nittis" in Bari. As a child, she began her artistic activity by singing in the piano bars of her city under the piano accompaniment of Professor Sabino Sciannelli. 15 years old, she records her first "45 giri", which contains the song "Fiorelli del prato" written by Mario Panzeri 36 years ago. There are 14 participations in the San Remo Festival, even winning 2 times: 1989 with the song "Ti lascero'" together with Fausto Leal and in 1999 single with the song "Senza pieta`". Take part for the first time in this Festival in v. 1978, dressed as "Punk" even taking second place with the song "Un'emozione da poco", after the winner Matia Bazar, a well-known name in Italian music. Another second place was that of v. 1997, with the song "Storie" after the group Jalisse. Participation in years: 1978; 1982; 1984; 1985; 1986; 1988; 1989; 1990; 1997; 1999; 2001; 2003; 2006; 2011 1978 – Records the album of the deputy "Oxanna" with the now popular songs: Un'emozione da poco; È tutto un attimo, Donna con te, Quando nasce un amore, Senza di me, Storie, Senza pietà, Tutti i brividi del mondo e Ti lascerò. 1979 – The 2nd album named simply "Anna Oxa" where there were the well-known songs l pagliaccio azzurro / La sonnambula, as well as a "Cover" in Italian of Patti Smith's "Because of the Night" version. In v. 80-year-old Anna Oxa has already achieved her fame, which she continues even in the year `90 and after 2000. He recorded a total of 23 albums, of which 18 were in the studio, 2 were "Live" and the other 3 were compilations of the best. Her musical genre as a singer is "Light Music"; Pop Rock”; "Ethnic music"; "Soft Rock" and "Pop". Even though her name as a singer is a worldwide success, she has never forgotten her Albanian origins. Precisely in her wide career, she has performed with the greatest Italian singers from Fausto Leali, Ivano Fossati, Lucio Dalla, Amedeo Minghi, Rino Gaetano, Giorgio Gaber and Roberto Vecchioni. At the same time, he has re-interpreted songs by Claudio Baglioni, Francesco De Gregori, Fabio Concato and Lucio Battisti, even by Patti Smith and John Lennon. Parallel to her career as a singer, she has also been a presenter on RAI television in the variety show "Fantastico 9" together with the Italian actor Enrico Montasano, and "Fantastico 10" with Massimo Ranieri. He also presented the Festival of San Remo in v. 1994 and also other shows. Anna Oxa was in Albania for the first time in 1996 and presented to the Albanian public with "goca e Qazim from Kruje" …… and then he visited our country several times performing on the stage of the Song Festival in RTSH as well as in the "Magic Song" (the last one this edition) 2019) ______________ It was previously published on the Albanian Cinema page – December 2019 and was revised in the following years.
