Agim Verzivolli (1934 – 2012)
Albanian film photographer, one of the veterans in this field in the Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re”!
Born in Tirana on January 1, 1934. In the period 1958 – 1962, he graduated by correspondence from the “Jordan Misja” Artistic High School in the drama department.
In 1957 started working in the film development laboratory at Kinostudio “Shqiperia e Re” and one year as an assistant operator in the feature film “Debatik”.
From 1963 to 1994, Verzivolli worked as a photographer in the photographic laboratory of the cinema studio, where he was involved with both the photography of the working casts directly on the sets of feature films, as well as with the photo tests of the actors and the preparation of photo albums for each feature film thus creating a rich photographic archive of our Albanian cinematography.
Agim Verzivolli has also prepared series of photographs of photographic exhibitions of films on the occasion of Festivals and advertising for the distribution sector and propaganda.
For 25 years, he directed the circle of young photographers in the Palace of Pioneers in Tirana, from which talented photographers emerged.
Verzivollli passed away on April 18, 2012.
